Ten years since we lost Alice

This year marks 10 years since Alice was murdered by an ex-partner who stalked her. It would not be exaggerating to say that my life has changed dramatically since that day

Day 1: 15 April 2026

This year marks 10 years since Alice was murdered by an ex-partner who stalked her.

It would not be exaggerating to say that my life has changed dramatically since that day, and I am in a very different place from where I envisaged being all those years ago.

Another milestone this year is that at the beginning of July we (myself and an intrepid group of amazing cyclists) will complete our United Kingdom Coast-to-Coast cycling tours (England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales) and I thought that writing a blog alongside Instagram posts of my training progress would be a good way to share some of the challenges that I have faced.

I’m aiming to post on social media every time I complete a training ride and link to the daily blog entry so that anyone who engages (and hopefully sponsors me) can get a bit more information about my journey.

The last ten years have been full of new experiences for me. Some of these have been totally devastating, some even too horrific to blog about, but there have been many more positive ones that have shown me how selfless and caring people can really be. Although this is a path that I would have given anything not to tread, I have met so many truly amazing people and collected some fascinating experiences along the way.

Blogging is, for me, another new experience and I hope that anyone reading this blog will not judge me too harshly if my writing is full of mistakes or the content is too boring.

SAVE THE DATE!
