We will be releasing one image per day on all of our social media platforms for 10 days. We have asked universities to download and display the posters. A QR code takes people to the “What is stalking” pages on our website.
Stalking is a rapidly growing crime that now affects more than 1.5 million people annually in England and Wales. “This is STALKING” is an awareness-raising campaign aimed at young people aged 16-24, who are the most at risk of experiencing stalking in the UK. These statistics make universities an incredibly important partner in helping us to raise awareness, challenge misconceptions and ensure that young people know how to recognise stalking behaviours and where to access support.
“This is STALKING” has been designed with the support of our volunteers and our “Experts by Experience” group and depicts everyday examples of behaviours that can constitute a pattern of stalking. The impact and the potential risks are all too often overlooked, dismissed or misunderstood.
After the conclusion of the 10-day campaign, all the images will be made available here on our website so that they can continue to be downloaded and displayed.
