Building upon our strong reputation for quality educational resources about stalking, the Alice Ruggles Trust has created a school assembly package suitable for Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 students which meets RSE requirements. This assembly is currently being delivered intensively in certain local areas but thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund we are now able to intensify our roll-out to schools across England and Wales.
The assembly is being academically evaluated to prove that it increases young people’s understanding of stalking, its impacts, how to seek help and how to help a friend. The evaluation will be continuing over the next year.
About us
The Alice Ruggles Trust is a charity that educates young people under 25 about stalking.
Our Vision is to help prevent what happened to Alice happening to others. To bring stalking to an end.
Our mission is to foster generations of young people who understand stalking, the potential risks of stalking, and what they can do about it.
About the role
The main duties and responsibilities of this role are to ensure the successful delivery of assemblies across England and Wales. This includes delivering the assembly directly as well as recruiting, training and co-ordinating volunteers to deliver. Co-ordinating includes contacting local authorities, schools and colleges to promote the assembly as well as attending professional networking events and meetings, gathering feedback from volunteers and schools and working alongside the academics evaluating the project.
The successful candidate for this role will act as the first point of contact for enquiries into the assembly project, booking and organising assemblies within schools and colleges and working alongside volunteers to deliver sessions.
The co-ordinator will be expected to support the wider team with general administrative and promotional duties, including gathering material for use on social media and supporting events.
