A huge thank you
to all those who have donated to our Trust either directly, at fundraising events (see our Events page), or via this website. Every contribution, however small, helps.
During the first year of our existence we have been raising awareness through media interviews, talks to groups of young people and talks to military personnel. We have also participated in training and strategic planning events for the police and Crown Prosecution Service. And we have also supported campaigns to set up a register of stalkers and to bring in a Stalking Protection Law. Among our plans for the coming year are a number of events focused on university and school students, videos to raise awareness, and social media campaigns.
As a member of the National Stalking Consortium, set up to coordinate support services and campaigning activities, we are working with a number of well-established organisations such as the Suzy Lamplugh Trust. Paladin. and Women's Aid.
If you would like to support us, please follow the links above. Alternatively, please consider making a contribution to the Suzy Lamplugh Trust, who have a National Stalking Helpline appeal in Alice’s name, or to one of the other charities. During 2017 over £25,000 was raised in Alice's name for the Alice Ruggles Trust and for other stalking and domestic abuse charities.
Everyone needs to recognise that stalking is a seriously distressing and potentially life-threatening crime. Stalking behaviour needs to result in immediate action both to protect the victim and to deal effectively with the perpetrator.
We need to bring stalking to an end. Please help us to achieve this aim, in memory of Alice.
