Good luck, Rob!

Good luck to Rob Byrne in Sunday's London marathon, and to all our other runners

This year we’d like to say a special good luck to Rob Byrne, who is running to fundraise for us in Sunday’s London marathon.

Rob co-produced “Stalked”, a 10-part BBC podcast series in which Hannah Mossman Moore describes her terrifying ordeal as the victim of a relentless and sophisticated stalking campaign which lasted several long years.

In the 8th episode Hannah digresses from her own story to tell the story of Alice. They went to the same school but never met, because Alice joined just after Hannah left; but they had the same set of friends. The outcome of Alice’s story still haunts Hannah.

Hannah is pictured below with Alice’s parents Sue and Clive following the interview she did with them for that 8th episode.

The story has had such an impact on Rob that he is now fundraising for us. Thank you so much for this, Rob.

Please support Rob, and us, by visiting his fundraising page.

AND BY THE WAY…

We regularly have fundraisers running for us in the London marathon and other marathons and half-marathons—and we are hugely grateful to all of them— but it’s the Great North Run that holds a special place in our hearts, because Newcastle and Gateshead were where Alice lived. We’ll be posting about the 2026 GNR in the near future.

Stalking – a minefield of confusion

Alice felt very uneasy about calling the police about Dhillon’s stalking. She felt that this was a boyfriend who would not go away and was not something that the police should be bothered by.
